Joseph Klimoski
Joseph Klimoski is the lead practitioner at MADISON ACUPUNCTURE AND WELLNESS DESIGN. He graduated from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, with a bachelor's degree in Anthropology, with an emphasis on the Cultural Histories of Healing.
Pursuing his interest in natural healing techniques, he elected to study at the East/West Arts Institute in Madison, Wisconsin. There he learned acupressure, the Chinese form of massage known as Tui Na, and studied under an experienced acupuncturist for two years before traveling to San Diego, California for more extensive education and training.
Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, California, is the premiere university in the United States for the study of acupuncture and herbal medicine. Mr. Klimoski entered the five (5) year, intensive master's program, focusing on anatomy, the calming exercise regimens of Taiji, diagnosis and treatment, needle technique, pharmacology, massage and clinical research. The teaching staff had an extensive and varied background and had a profound effect on his learning experience. The professors included Eastern and Western medical doctors, Acupuncturists, Naturopaths, Chiropractors and others, some with over forty years of experience. This cross-section of the medical community resulted in an excellent educational experience in a variety of wellness settings.
Mr. Klimoski is nationally certified in acupuncture, herbal medicine and massage therapy and licensed to practice in the State of Wisconsin.
